The story behind it
Demeter is the greek goddess of harvest, agriculture and fertility – in earlier times, she was even the goddess of poppies.

What is porcelain?
Porcelain is a precious and delicate material which is totally different from clay: It is made from different materials, for example kaolin and petunse, and it was invented in China almost 2000 years ago, with the Chinese being the only ones to know how to make it for many centuries.
As opposed to clay, porcelain is white and translucent and it is, even if it seems more fragile than clay, harder, and more durable than clay.
